If we had to choose just one fall festival near Disney to visit each year, Southern Hill Farms would be it. It has everything we want from a fall day in Central Florida—pumpkins, a five-acre corn maze, farm rides and activities, live music, great food and, of course, their apple cider donuts. There’s enough to do to spend most of the day at the farm, but it still feels like a true fall festival rather than a theme park event.
This year marks the 11th Annual Fall Festival at Southern Hill Farms, running September 26 through November 22, 2026, every Thursday through Sunday.
THE FALL FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
Southern Hill Farms turns into a full fall destination during the festival. You can spend the day exploring the farm, picking out pumpkins, walking through the five-acre corn maze, listening to live music or simply grabbing something to eat and enjoying the atmosphere.
Admission includes access to the festival activities and Fun Zone, making it easy to spend several hours—or most of the day—at the farm.
Some of the highlights include:
- 5-acre corn maze
- Farm wagon rides
- U-pick sunflower and zinnia fields
- Pumpkin patch barn
- Live musicians
- Yard games
- Fire pits for roasting s’mores
- Fall family photo areas
- Covered playground
- Rooftop deck
- Southern Hill Farms Market
Football fans can even keep up with the weekend’s biggest college and professional games on TVs under the food truck barn.
THE FUN ZONE
One of the reasons Southern Hill Farms works so well for families is the amount of entertainment included with admission.
The Fun Zone includes a petting zoo, giant slide, Cyclone Swing, Pirate Ship Swing, jump pillows, rock climbing wall, carousel, Berry Go Round, Berry-Trooper, Papa’s Roadsters, inflatable sports games, bounce houses and an obstacle course.
Some activities have minimum height or weight requirements.
PUMPKIN SEASON
Of course, fall wouldn’t be complete without pumpkins.
The Pumpkin Patch Barn features pumpkins in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors, along with corn stalks, gourds, Indian corn and other seasonal favorites available for purchase. The pumpkins are already cut from the vine, so you can simply find your favorite and take it home.
Southern Hill Farms also offers a complimentary pumpkin holding area, so you don’t have to carry your pumpkins around while enjoying the rest of the festival.
An interesting Florida fact: Southern Hill Farms doesn’t grow its fall pumpkins on-site. Central Florida’s warm fall temperatures aren't ideal for growing high-quality pumpkins at this time of year, so the farm sources different varieties from growing regions around the country.
FOOD ON THE FARM
The food is another reason we look forward to visiting.
Southern Hill Farms’ vintage Airstream bakery serves some of its most popular seasonal treats, including its apple cider donuts, blueberry lemonade, hot and frozen apple cider, blueberry cobbler and pumpkin muffins.
You’ll also find local food trucks throughout the festival, plus craft beer, wine, mimosas and seasonal frozen drinks available from the Beer Shed.
And if you want to take advantage of the fire pits, s’mores kits with roasting sticks are available for purchase.
