Orlando's Best Halloween Events for All Ages in 2026

September 1, 2026

From trick-or-treating and costumes to elaborate haunted houses and after-dark scares, Orlando goes all-in on Halloween.

The season starts early in Central Florida, with the first major events kicking off in August and celebrations continuing all the way through Halloween and into early November. Orlando’s theme parks and attractions offer everything from daytime festivities designed for younger children to some of the country’s biggest nighttime horror events.

Whether you’re planning Halloween fun with the entire family or looking for something considerably scarier, here are some of the best ongoing Halloween events around Orlando for 2026.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN EVENTS

MICKEY’S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY

Halloween takes over Magic Kingdom after dark during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a separately ticketed event running on select nights through Halloween.

Guests can dress in costume, trick-or-treat throughout the park and enjoy special entertainment including Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Disney characters also appear throughout the park in Halloween costumes, while several attractions receive special party enhancements.

New for 2026, Stitch, Lilo and Angel join an ever-changing masquerade in Tomorrowland.

Hours: 7:00 PM – Midnight; ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 PM
Dates: Select nights August 7 – October 31, 2026
Price: $119–$229 per person, plus tax, depending on event date
Admission: Separate event ticket required; regular daytime Magic Kingdom admission is not required

SEAWORLD SPOOKTACULAR

SeaWorld’s daytime Halloween celebration offers a much less frightening alternative for families with younger children.

Spooktacular features trick-or-treating along a decorated candy trail, costumes and colorful Halloween characters throughout the park. Hotel Transylvania characters are also part of this year’s festivities, including Drac, Mavis and friends.

Because Spooktacular takes place during regular park hours, families can combine the Halloween activities with SeaWorld’s rides, shows and animal experiences during the same visit.

Hours: Daytime event during regular SeaWorld Orlando operating hours; hours vary by date
Dates: Select dates August 29 – November 1, 2026
Price: Included with regular SeaWorld Orlando admission; single-day tickets currently start at $59.99
Admission: Included with park admission; no separate Spooktacular ticket required

BRICK OR TREAT

LEGOLAND Florida puts its own spin on Halloween with Brick or Treat, a celebration designed especially for families with younger children.

The 2026 event introduces the all-new Brick or Treat Street, an interactive walkthrough where kids can knock on the doors of LEGO monsters, collect treats and discover surprises. Other activities include trick-or-treat stations throughout the park, LEGO Monster character encounters, Halloween-themed rides, live entertainment, building activities and the Potion Mischief Light Trail.

Families can also catch Halloween entertainment throughout the day, while candy stations operate during select afternoon and evening hours.

Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on event days; Brick or Treat Street runs 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Dates: September 5, 6, 12, 19 & 26 and October 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 & 31, 2026

SCREAMIN’ GREEN HAUNTOWEEN

For an indoor Halloween option, Screamin’ Green Hauntoween returns to Crayola Experience Orlando at The Florida Mall.

The celebration adds Halloween activities to Crayola Experience’s 20-plus hands-on attractions, including a themed scavenger hunt, Halloween crafts, seasonal photo opportunities and weekend trick-or-treat stations.

New for 2026 are rotating themed weeks throughout the event. Princesses & Pirates runs September 19 through October 4, followed by Superheroes from October 5–18 and Monsters & Magic from October 19 through November 1.

Kids are welcome to dress in costume, although costume masks are not permitted. It’s also an especially convenient option for younger children — and one that provides a break from the Florida heat or an afternoon rainstorm.

Hours: Sunday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Dates: September 19 – November 1, 2026
Price: General admission is $30.99 plus tax; save $3 when purchasing in advance online. Children 2 and under are free.

HALLOWEEN EVENTS FOR TEENS & ADULTS

Orlando’s Halloween season changes considerably once the sun goes down. These events trade friendly characters and candy trails for elaborate haunted houses, scare actors and much more intense experiences.

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 35

Halloween Horror Nights celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026 with another massive lineup of haunted houses and nighttime scares at Universal Studios Florida.

The park transforms into the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, overseen by returning Halloween Horror Nights icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow.

This year’s event features 10 haunted houses along with scare zones and street experiences, live entertainment, themed food and drinks and select attractions operating throughout the night. The haunted-house lineup combines major horror and pop-culture properties with original concepts created specifically for the event.

Halloween Horror Nights is considerably more intense than Orlando’s family Halloween events and is not recommended for children under 13. Costumes and costume masks are also not permitted.

Hours: 6:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Dates: Select nights August 28 – November 1, 2026
Price: Single-night ticket prices vary by date
Admission: Separate Halloween Horror Nights ticket required; regular daytime Universal Studios Florida admission does not include the event

HOWL-O-SCREAM

SeaWorld Orlando transforms again after dark for Howl-O-Scream, a completely separate experience from the family-friendly Spooktacular held during the day.

The 2026 event features five haunted houses, six scare zones, two roaming hordes, five themed bars, nighttime thrill rides and live entertainment. Four of the haunted-house storylines and four of the scare zones are new this year.

The event is designed for mature audiences and features intense themes, scares, blood, gore and violence. Costumes are not permitted.

One important distinction for families visiting SeaWorld is that Spooktacular and Howl-O-Scream are two separate events. Spooktacular takes place during the day and is included with regular admission, while Howl-O-Scream begins after dark and requires its own ticket.

Hours: 7:00 PM – Late; gates open at 6:30 PM
Dates: Select nights September 11 – October 31, 2026
Price: Single-night tickets currently start at $45.99 per person, plus taxes and service fees; prices vary by date
Admission: Separate event ticket required; regular SeaWorld admission, Fun Cards and standard Annual Pass admission do not include Howl-O-Scream

HALLOWEEN SEASON IN ORLANDO

One of the advantages of celebrating Halloween in Orlando is just how long the season lasts. The first major events begin in early August, and several continue through November 1.

Families can spend an afternoon collecting candy at SeaWorld or LEGOLAND, dress up for a night at Magic Kingdom, or keep things indoors at Crayola Experience. Those looking for bigger scares can choose between two of Orlando’s major nighttime horror events at Universal Studios Florida and SeaWorld Orlando.

Whether your idea of Halloween is Mickey-shaped treats and costumes or haunted houses and scare zones, Orlando offers nearly three months of ways to celebrate in 2026.
