July 31, 2026
Halloween season is starting early at Walt Disney World as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom for 2026. The separately ticketed after-hours event runs on select nights from August 7 through October 31, bringing trick-or-treating, special attraction experiences, character appearances, the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and Halloween-themed entertainment throughout the park.
The party officially runs from 7:00 PM to midnight, but ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 PM, giving guests up to eight hours in the park without needing a regular theme park ticket for that day.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2026
This year brings a couple of new additions to the party, including A Masquerade with Stitch at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
Stitch is joined by Lilo and Angel for an ever-changing masquerade inspired by Lilo’s Costume Trunk. As Stitch tries different accessories, the theme of the party changes along with him, creating a rotating experience throughout the night.
Adventureland is also getting some new Halloween-night entertainment. Captain Jack Sparrow will appear for a series of pirate antics, adding another live character experience guests can encounter while exploring the park.
MICKEY’S BOO-TO-YOU HALLOWEEN PARADE
One of the signature events of the night is Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, which makes its way through Magic Kingdom twice during the party.
Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters appear in Halloween costumes alongside Disney villains and some familiar residents of the Haunted Mansion. The parade includes the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the spectral Bride, waltzing spirits and a villain-filled finale.
And before the parade arrives, keep an eye out for one of the evening’s most recognizable sights: the Headless Horseman riding through Magic Kingdom.
HOCUS POCUS VILLAIN SPELLTACULAR
The Sanderson Sisters take over the Cinderella Castle stage for the returning Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
Winifred, Mary and Sarah enlist several Disney villains to help create their ultimate Hocus Pocus party potion. Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent are among the characters who join the sisters for a show featuring dancers, projections and special effects.
DISNEY’S NOT-SO-SPOOKY SPECTACULAR
Halloween also takes over the skies above Cinderella Castle during Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.
Hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the nighttime show follows Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy into a mysterious haunted house filled with dancing skeletons, ghosts and Disney villains.
The approximately 12-minute spectacular combines fireworks with projections, lasers and lighting effects across Cinderella Castle.
TRICK-OR-TREATING THROUGH MAGIC KINGDOM
Yes, adults can trick-or-treat too.
Guests can collect candy at more than a dozen trick-or-treat locations located throughout Magic Kingdom. Complimentary treat bags are provided, and you don’t have to wear a costume to participate.
The trick-or-treat trails are spread across the park, making them easy to work into the night while traveling between attractions and entertainment.
ATTRACTIONS WITH A HALLOWEEN TWIST
Many Magic Kingdom attractions remain open throughout the party, and a few receive special overlays that are only available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Space Mountain takes guests through the attraction in complete darkness accompanied by spooky music, while Mad Tea Party receives special lighting effects that change the atmosphere of the classic Fantasyland attraction.
Because attendance is limited for the separately ticketed party, the event can also be an opportunity to experience many Magic Kingdom attractions while fitting in the Halloween-exclusive entertainment.
CHARACTERS, DANCE PARTIES & LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Characters are a major part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including Disney friends appearing in special Halloween costumes and meet-and-greets that aren't normally available during a regular park day.
At Storybook Circus, guests can meet characters including Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto.
Over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, the Destination DescenDANCE Party brings music and dancing inspired by Disney’s Descendants movies to Tomorrowland.
In Frontierland, The Cadaver Dans return with their Halloween take on the classic barbershop quartet, complete with plenty of their signature “dead pan” humor.
HALLOWEEN FOOD & EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISE
The party also brings a lineup of limited-time food and drinks available throughout Magic Kingdom.
New offerings for 2026 include items such as Doom Buggy Dumplings and Skull-icious Cake, while returning favorites include the Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie and Ursula Cone.
Guests can also shop for event-exclusive merchandise, which may include Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party apparel, accessories, drinkware, home décor and collectible pins.
COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the rare opportunities for guests of all ages to arrive at Magic Kingdom in costume.
Disney does have specific costume rules, particularly for guests ages 14 and older, so anyone planning an elaborate costume should review the current guidelines before heading to the park.
Even without a costume, guests can get into the Halloween spirit by meeting Disney characters dressed in their own seasonal looks throughout the evening.
