Inside the Major Makeover Coming to Orlando’s Camping World Stadium

October 20, 2025

Orlando’s signature venue is getting a major upgrade. The City of Orlando has approved a $400 million renovation to modernize Camping World Stadium and position it among the top multi-purpose venues in the Southeast. The expansion will boost capacity, enhance the fan experience, and create new opportunities for concerts, major sporting events, and more.

What’s Changing

  • Expanded Capacity: The stadium’s upper decks on both sides will be rebuilt with all-new seating, increasing total capacity to over 65,000.

  • Better Fan Experience: Wider concourses, more restrooms, and more food and beverage options will make getting around faster and easier.

  • New Premium Spaces: Updated suites, clubs, and lounge areas will bring a more modern, upscale atmosphere for fans and event partners.

  • Concert-Ready Flexibility: A new retractable stage area will allow for larger concerts and festivals, bringing more big-name acts to downtown Orlando.

  • Exterior Refresh: A full façade redesign, new lighting, and technology upgrades will give the stadium a clean, contemporary look.

Timeline and Naming Rights

Construction is expected to wrap up by fall 2027, just in time for major events that season. The current Camping World naming-rights deal expired in 2024, and the stadium’s operators are actively seeking a new title sponsor to carry the brand forward into its next chapter.

Why It Matters for Orlando

This renovation is about more than seats and concrete—it’s about impact. A modernized Camping World Stadium means Orlando will stay competitive for marquee events like college bowl games, NFL exhibitions, mega-concerts, and international soccer matches. These events pump millions into the local economy, supporting hotels, restaurants, and tourism jobs throughout Central Florida.

The improvements also strengthen Orlando’s image as a world-class sports and entertainment destination, right alongside the region’s theme parks and resorts.

The Jaguars in 2027?

Here’s where things get even more exciting: the Jacksonville Jaguars are planning a major renovation of their home stadium beginning in 2026, leaving them without a venue for the 2027 season. Orlando has emerged as one of the leading options for the Jaguars’ temporary home while their stadium is under construction.

With Camping World Stadium’s expansion scheduled to be completed that same year, Orlando could be hosting NFL regular-season games for the first time—bringing national attention, major tourism dollars, and a wave of excitement for local fans.

What’s Next

Keep an eye out for the official groundbreaking, naming-rights announcement, and more design details in the coming months. By the time the ribbon is cut in 2027, Orlando will have a bigger, better, and bolder stadium ready to host the world.

The Camping World Stadium expansion is more than a renovation—it’s a reinvestment in Orlando’s future, setting the stage for unforgettable moments in sports, music, and community life.
