After a four-year hiatus, the iconic Blue Man Group is set to make a triumphant return to Orlando with a brand-new, custom-built theater at ICON Park on International Drive. This marks a significant milestone for the performance art troupe, as it's their first theater constructed from the ground up, tailored specifically for their unique, multi-sensory performances.
A NEW CHAPTER AT ICON PARK
The new Blue Man Group Theater, located at ICON Park's Universal Boulevard entrance, will seat 500 guests and is designed to immerse audiences in the group's signature blend of music, comedy, and visual effects. Equipped with state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting, and video technology, the venue promises an unparalleled experience for attendees.
"There is no greater world stage than Orlando for exciting family fun, making it a natural choice as a home base for Blue Man Group," said Jack Kenn, Managing Director of Blue Man Group. "Our fans are eager for the Blue Men to be part of their Orlando vacations, and our creative team is thrilled to create a new type of experience that is even more immersive and personalized to Orlando.”
ANTICIPATED OPENING AND TICKET INFORMATION
Originally slated to open in April 2025, the theater's grand opening has been delayed due to construction setbacks. The new opening date is now projected for late 2025 . Despite the delay, anticipation remains high, and tickets are already available for purchase.
The upcoming shows will feature a mix of new scenes and classic favorites, delivering the high-energy, non-verbal performances that have captivated audiences worldwide. With a runtime of approximately 90 to 105 minutes, each performance is designed to transcend language barriers and appeal to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds.
A WELCOME RETURN TO ORLANDO'S ENTERTAINMENT SCENE
Blue Man Group's return is a significant addition to Orlando's vibrant entertainment landscape. Having previously held a 14-year residency at Universal Orlando Resort's CityWalk before closing in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic , their new home at ICON Park signifies a fresh start and renewed commitment to the city's cultural offerings.
ICON Park, a 20-acre entertainment destination, is an ideal location for the group's resurgence. "ICON Park will roll out the blue carpet to welcome Blue Man Group back into our 'unbelievably real' destination," said ICON Park President and CEO Chris Jaskiewicz. "With their unique blend of creative energy and entertainment, they are a perfect fit with the world-famous entertainment brands here at ICON Park.”
